'RHOBH' Star Kyle Richards Says "This Is a Big Deal" When She's Finally "Comfortable Enough" to Admit to Having Sex with Strangers

Kyle Richards has had an increased spotlight on her love life since separating from her husband Mauricio Umansky and sparking dating rumors with country singer Morgan Wade. While The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has vehemently denied being in a romantic relationship with Wade, she has admitted to questioning her sexuality.

When Richards was asked if she could ever see herself dating Wade during the RHOBH Season 13 reunion, she danced around the question, instead telling host Andy Cohen that she was “evolving” and “changing.” Now, nearly a year later, the actress admitted she is “still figuring things out” when it comes to her sexuality.

“Even being comfortable enough to say that was a very big deal for me,” she told DECIDER in a recent Zoom interview. “So I guess that would be the update, that I’m even comfortable to say that. That was part of figuring all of that out.”

For Richards, it was important that she have the conversation with her four daughters, three of whom she shares with Umansky, before talking about anything publicly. The longtime reality star also noted that she never would’ve questioned her sexuality had it not been for the constant online speculation about her friendship with Wade.

“It was important for me to have that conversation with my daughters because there was so much talk and speculation, which is what actually got me even thinking about it,” she said. “To be honest, that would never have crossed my brain ever in a million years.”

Still, Richards, being the amazing mother she is, wanted to be “honest” with her daughters; Farrah Aldjufrie, 36, Alexia Umansky, 28, Sophia Umansky, 24, and Portia Umansky, 16.

“I wanted to lead by example by being open and honest and having that very difficult conversation, in case they ever needed to come to me about anything difficult,” Richards continued. “They know we have an ‘everything is on the table’ policy — I accept you [and] love you, no matter what.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 premieres Tuesday, Nov. 19 on Bravo.
