Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky celebrated his 54th birthday as a family on Tuesday night at Catch Steak in West Hollywood, California, where he recently purchased a new condo.
As they remain separated, albeit with no immediate plans to divorce, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars enjoyed a meal with their daughters, Alexia Umansky, 28, Sophia Umansky, 24, and Portia Umansky, 16, Kyle’s
oldest, Farrah Aldjufrie, 35, and their longtime friend Faye Resnick, 66.
According to a video shot by TMZ, Kyle, 55, wished her estranged husband a happy birthday and even gave him a hug on their way out of the restaurant, as did their daughters.
In other news, Alexia recently spoke out about her relationship with her father, admitting that their time together on Netflix’s Buying Beverly Hills has improved their dynamic.
“With everything going on in our family in the public eye, being on camera you’re talking about things a little sooner than you’re ready,” Alexia told Us Weekly last week. “Just naturally that happens, and we really leaned into that experience.”
“My mom and I, we’ve always had a very honest relationship, but I’ve got to say my dad has opened up so much more since the filming process with his daughters,” she explained. “He’s so honest, and our communication has just completely excelled since this experience.”
As fans well know, Mauricio addressed his and Kyle’s split with Kyle and their kids as cameras rolled for the second season of their reality series.
“We’ve always all been so close. But we’re finally good at confrontation and hard conversations, which is not something we did before,” Alexia continued. “We were always positive. It was a learning curve for us: it’s OK to talk about the hard things, it leads to more positivity.”
Also speaking of their time together in season two, Kyle said that she did what she could to support her family’s venture.
“I obviously want the best for him and my daughters. I made a point to show up to support them this season — we had to work that out between the two networks,” she shared. “They have been showing up for years on Bravo.”
According to Kyle, she’s “happy” that Buying Beverly Hills has been a success.
“To see them soar and learn from my mistakes on the show. … And just seeing them be true to themselves makes [me] so proud,” she gushed.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
