Angela Oakley is hoping the risk is worth the reward when it comes to her latest business venture.

In the May 11 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the Bravo star checked in on one of the homes she remodeled after recently deciding to get into real estate. Explaining that she has flipped several houses already, Angela revealed that they haven’t exactly paid off yet.

“So I own five investment properties,” she said. “Most of them are ready for the market. It's just that the price that we are positioning them at hasn't been the most welcoming to the market, because I haven't sold any of them yet.”

She then dropped a bombshell: “I'm in debt $2 million, so I am in some deep s--- with these houses.”

While Angela put the final touches on what she hoped to be her big money-maker, Kelli Ferrell stopped by for a visit and was less than impressed.

“When do you think it'll be ready?” Kelli asked, unprepared for Angela’s surprising response: “It’s about to hit the market in the next 10 days.”

“Really?” Kelli wondered, sharing her true feelings in her confessional. “I mean, the ceilings are a little low. The kitchen is nice. I mean, it's cute, don't get me wrong.”

She then walked outside, where she was met with an unfinished yard. “Angela, the pool don't even have no water in it," she said.

Upstairs, Kelli gasped at the lack of closet space as Angela exclaimed, “Don’t beat me up too bad!”

“I am desperate to unload these houses,” Angela told cameras before revealing that the listing price was a whopping $3 million.

“I don’t know, girl. I don't know if you’re gonna get $3 million for this,” Kelli laughed.

Later, Angela opened up about "the growing pains" in her relationship to husband Charles Oakley.

“Marriage is work, and you have to both decide to fight to make it work," she said. "The storybook romance that we grew up believing, it just does not exist.”

Angela previously discussed the challenges in her marriage, revealing that her new line of work had become a point of contention in their relationship.

“I want to show Charles like, ‘Look, look, this is working for us, don’t you see?’” she said in the March 23 episode of the hit reality show. “He invested his trust, he's invested his money. So showing him that I can get this done will you allow him to trust me more with my real estate endeavors.”

Because of the turmoil in the aftermath of the 2017 incident, which happened just one year after she and Charles got married, Angela explained that she wanted to have a vow renewal ceremony.

“Charles is holding our vow renewal over my head because he feels like we spent all this money on these houses, let's handle this first and then we can jump into something else,” she shared.

When she told him, “I know all these houses are in the way, but I really, really, really want to do that,” he replied, “We’ll see.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
