Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta premiered recently, and things have become fairly hectic for Kenya Moore. As everyone knows, she won’t be continuing with the series for the foreseeable future. And now, it seems NeNe Leakes is responding to the news by sharing and reacting to a resurfaced clip of the former Miss USA from several years ago that discusses when she was “phased out” of the show.
Fans of RHOA know that NeNe hasn’t appeared on an episode of the show since that chaotic Zoom reunion in 2020, during which she closed her laptop and left early. Her relationship with the network has been strained since then, but it seems she is in the beginning stages of repairing her status with NBCUniversal following a couple of hosting gigs on E!.
Following what many believe to be Kenya’s final episode of RHOA, a clip of her discussing NeNe’s departure and unfortunate status with Bravo has resurfaced. Luckily, The RHOA Talk was able to capture not only the video but also NeNe’s response.
In the video, Kenya says, “It clearly means that the network is sending you a message. You’re not as important as you think you are. The message is very clear. Either the network feels that you’re still a valuable asset on the show, or they don’t, and you’re replaced or phased out, and you just have to move on.”

In response to the video, NeNe left five laughing emojis. The original post from Bravo Celebrities also used the caption, “The message is very clear…” to show that Kenya is now in this predicament with the network. Notably, NeNe posted this to her Instagram Story but later deleted it.
NeNe and Kenya have seemingly been on good terms lately. They recently ran into each other and posted their interaction on social media. This came after Kenya shaded NeNe’s use of FaceTune, so it seemed even that didn’t cause any serious bad blood.
Fans can watch new episodes of RHOA on Sunday nights.
