Rhi opens up about hidden health problem she was battling during MAFS, and still is now - suong

MAFS Australia 2025’s biggest success story Rhi Disljenkovic has opened up about a health issue she was experiencing during the experiment, and has been battling for the past three years.

Speaking on her Instagram Story this week, the 34-year-old explained that she has been experiencing extreme hair loss and was wearing clip-in extensions during her reality TV stint.

“I’ve actually experienced a lot of hair loss over the last three years,” she said. “So when you see my hair looking incredible it’s not my hair, it’s clip-in hair extensions mixed with my hair.”

“It’s very depressing and it’s something I’ve really battled with over the years,” the bride continued, revealing that the condition often knocks her confidence.

Rhi said she tried a PRP treatment, where doctors put injections in to her head using plasma from her blood, but it hasn’t worked as well as she’d hoped.

“It’s a bit crazy. It’s a bit of a process but I’ve honestly tried everything, supplements, lots of different things. I’m working on my hair health but it’s been quite journey,” she continued.

“For those experiencing any hair loss I totally feel you.”

She didn’t say what caused her hair loss, but alopecia can be caused by many different things including genetics, hormonal changes, medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle choices.

Rhi and Jeff are the only original couple who are still together from this season, and they seem so happy. Since the show, they’ve moved in together in Melbourne and adopted a Greyhound.

“I know we did live together in the experiment, but [moving in together outside the experiment] really just cemented our strong relationship,” Rhi told 9Entertainment.

“I think that was a big step for our relationship. We came out of the experiment, and in such a short space of time, we decided to move in with each other,” Jeff added.

“‘It was just really cool being able to pick out the stuff you want for your own apartment and really build a home together.”
