Reporter Involved in Tense Trevon Diggs Exchange Ends Argument With Incredible One-Liner

Cowboys Trevon Diggs screams at reporter in heated scene after 49ers lossSunday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers didn't feature many things going the Dallas Cowboys' way. After leading 10-6 at halftime, the Cowboys fell into a 27-10 hole, allowing three consecutive touchdowns in the third quarter.

While the Cowboys nearly mounted a comeback and even had a chance to go down for the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter, they fell short after four Dak Prescott incompletions. The 30-24 loss moved the Cowboys to 3-4 on the season.

However, the drama wasn't finished when the game concluded. Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs came out of the locker room in full pads to confront WFAA reporter Mike Leslie about a tweet he posted during the game.

In a tense moment, Diggs called out Leslie for the post that questioned what the cornerback was doing on a long near-touchdown by George Kittle. In the postgame clip of Diggs' comments to Leslie, he states the reporter "doesn't know football," to which Leslie said they can "talk about it."

Diggs' response quickly went viral, which was posted by NBC's Newy Scruggs:

"Talk about deez nuts," Diggs said to Leslie as he exited the conversation.

Leslie responded to Diggs on social media with a one-liner that drew an incredible amount of fan praise.

Tensions were obviously high for the Cowboys after the tough loss. Still, it was reported that Diggs exited the locker room almost immediately after entering it and seeing the post to address Leslie.

The Cowboys have much to figure out on both sides of the ball and must do so quickly. Life won't get any easier for Prescott and company in the near future, as Dallas has four straight games against teams over the .500 mark. Over the next four weeks, they'll face the Atlanta Falcons (5-3), Philadelphia Eagles (5-2), Houston Texans (6-2) and Washington Commanders (6-2).
