Kim Zolciak and Sheree Whitfield are reportedly set to return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the series’ upcoming 17th season.
On the heels of Kenya Moore‘s exit from the series, as well as that of season six newbie Brittany “Brit” Eady, 37, a new report claims that both Kim, 47, and Sheree, 55, will be back for the new episodes while also sharing the fate of their fellow series OG, Nene Leakes, 57.
“Nene Leakes NOT Returning to RHOA — Sheree Whitfield & Kim Zolciak Peach Confirmed!” a post shared by The Gworls Are Fighting on X declared on August 9, citing Straight From the A as its source.
“According to insider Michelle Brown, Nene Leakes will NOT be back for Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17,” the message continued. “Meanwhile, Sheree Whitfield has officially signed on for the new season, and Kim Zolciak Peach is set to return — though likely in a ‘friend of the show’ role rather than full-time.”
While Nene, Kim, and Sheree were part of the main cast when RHOA made its debut in October 2008, Sheree exited the series after season four, and Kim left after season five. Meanwhile, Nene remained on the show until season seven.
Although none of the women have stayed on the show for its entirety, all three have returned since their initial exits, with Sheree reprising her full-time position for four more seasons, including season nine, season 10, season 14, and season 15, and Nene doing the same for three seasons, beginning with season 10. As for Kim, she starred in a “friend” role on season 10.
As for who else will be featured on season 17, Bravo has not yet made any casting announcements. That said, it is likely that the majority of the season 16 cast, which included Porsha Williams, 44, Drew Sidora, 40, Shamea Morton, 43, Kelli Ferrell, 40, and Angela Oakley, 44, will return.
As fans will recall, Cynthia Bailey, 58, was also featured on season 16 as a “friend,” and Phaedra Parks, 51, rejoined the series midway through filming.
