Announced last night as one of the two new Love Island bombshells to be entering the All Stars villa, all eyes are back on Ron as viewers of the show take a second look at his relationship with his ex Lana.

After they were runners up in their series two years ago, the couple remained together for a short while before they called it quits.

Their split came just three months after leaving the iconic ITV2 dating show.

At the time of their split, a source told MailOnline: "Lana and Ron really put everything into their romance and have tried to make things work for some time now.

"Unfortunately, they have decided to separate, which is a decision they have made amicably and of course, they still remain good friends.

"Commuting from Manchester to Essex and back again whenever they wanted to spend time together, as well as managing their work commitments just proved too difficult."

The news of the couple's split broke in the summer, with Ron speaking out that autumn about the reason behind their break up.

RON OPENS UP ABOUT SPLIT

Speaking exclusively to The Sun in October 2023, Ron vowed to never return to dating shows while opening up about splitting from Lana.

‘Top ten most embarrassing Love Island moment ever’ say All Stars fans as girl ‘loses her dignity’ with cringe comment - did you spot it?

"I will never do a dating show again, I will never have a relationship in the public eye again because I think it ruins it," he told us at the time.

"It played a part in mine and Lana's relationship.

"I think relationship programmes are quite forced and it doesn't happen naturally, it's great and it works.

"It worked for me because I didn't expect to fall in love. But I think sometimes it can play with peoples feelings too much."

Touching on why he and Lana split up, he said: "That's a good question, I think it was for multiple reasons.

"The world is a bit nuts, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and if it was in another world it might have worked."

He also gushed about his ex and revealed that they were still in contact, saying: "Me and Lana are really good, we chat every now and again."

LANA'S REACTION

This comes after Ron's ex reacted to his Love Island: All Stars entry.

Taking to her Instagram stories last night, around the time that Ron was entering the villa as a bombshell on TV, Lana reacted in real time.

Sharing a snap of herself lounging on her sofa in a t-shirt and hoodie, Lana could be seen looking fresh-faced.

Looking slightly awkward and taken aback all at once, Lana looked to the side, rested her hand on her head and penned: "Stop it right now," alongside the snap.
