Hochstein announced the sad news on her Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 25
Lisa Hochstein is mourning the death of her father Roger.
The Real Housewives of Miami star, 42, announced the death of her dad in a post shared on her Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
“RIP DADDY,” Hochstein captioned the carousel post.
Among the pictures were childhood photos of Hochstein with her father, including during her christening, along with more recent snaps and clips.
In one photo, Roger could be seen posing on a leather chair with Hochstein’s children, son Logan, 9, and daughter Elle, 4. A video taken during the same moment saw Elle sweetly telling her grandfather, “I love grandpa … me love grandpa.”
"You love grandma and grandpa?” Hochstein asked her daughter, to which she nodded. “You wanna stay with him?” Hochstein continued as Elle replied, “I want to stay with both.”
Elsewhere in the carousel, Hochstein included some more throwback photos of her dad, along with a picture of him standing next to Logan’s highchair when he was a toddler.
“Oh no my love I’m so sorry 😍,” wrote her costar Guerdy Abraira in the comments section, while Hochstein’s boyfriend Jody Glidden penned an emotional message of support saying he “saw firsthand how happy your dad was” that she visited him in Toronto with her children over the summer.
"It was easy to tell from his friends’ messages and how happy he was this summer that he was beyond proud of you,” Glidden wrote. “I know how crushing this past couple of years have been for you but you truly have grown into such an amazing new version of yourself that your kids will be proud of someday.”
“When I lost my mom, my family used to tell me that no matter how hard these things are, this too shall pass. Somehow our mind has a way with time to just look back and remember the happiest times and the best lessons they taught us. ❤️,” he concluded.
Back in June, Hochstein posted photos from her visit to Toronto on Instagram. “Reconnecting with my roots and sharing my hometown with my children for the first time has been truly magical,” she wrote alongside two snaps of herself posing with her kids in front of the CN Tower.
According to his Facebook page, Roger was a crane operator in Toronto.
On the same day that Hochstein announced her father’s death, the Canadian native revealed that she was back in her birthplace on her Instagram Stories.
The Bravo star shared a photo of a gold maple leaf on the floor, tagging her location as Toronto.
Hochstein’s loss comes after a tumultuous few years amid her ongoing divorce from estranged husband Lenny Hochstein.
Lenny, 58, filed for divorce in May 2022, just days after he shared news of the pair’s split, with Lisa calling his handling of their breakup “reckless” and claiming she was “blindsided.”
