Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 8 Recap: Kyle Storms Out Amid PK Texting Drama

Welcome to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 8 recap. Last time, Kyle told Dorit that she and Dorit’s estranged husband, PK Kemsley, only texted each other memes. However, she later read a text to other cast members that showed their texting was deeper than jokes. Here’s what happened in RHOBH Season 14, Episode 8: “A Perfect Storm Out.”

What happened in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 8?

Boz hosted an event for the ladies called the Sisterhood Serenity Soiree. She was inspired by Sutton’s sisterhood ritual that went down in flames. Don’t you just love the wide-eyed hopefulness of the newbies? RHOBH viewers know that someone will have a meltdown. It is just a matter of time. Anyway, Boz has luxurious robes and slippers for the ladies, a chef to prepare a 14-course meal and massages for the guests. Where’s my invite, Boz?

So, before this event at her home, Boz called Dorit and told her what Garcelle said about Kyle and PK texting. Namely, that it appeared it wasn’t just memes. However, Erika also filled in Dorit and reassured her that the texting wasn’t inappropriate. Let’s take a moment and consider how Kyle would react if Dorit was texting her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky.

The Queen and her Corgis

On the way to Boz’s home, Sutton, Garcelle, and Jennifer discussed Kyle and Dorit’s argument at The Viper Room. Garcelle, for one, doesn’t know if there is a way to save their friendship. While poor Jennifer keeps discussing the “mims,” not memes, all the ladies agree on one thing. This texting relationship is more involved than Kyle wants to admit.

Once Dorit arrived, she noticed Kyle in a sexy, low-cut dress. “Is that your comfy wardrobe?” Dorit asked, referencing Boz’s request on the invitation. Burn! However, Kyle ignored her.

Then the ladies changed into their robes and met the chef. Chef Darrell told the group that they all looked “beautiful.” Garcelle asked, “Whose more beautiful?” Erika announced they were all single except for Boz, and Jennifer added, “We’re in heat.” Some of these ladies are literally drooling.

As Garcelle was relaxing into her massage, Dorit popped up beside her, ready to discuss The Viper Room. Dorit admitted that her reaction was related to how she was feeling, not what Garcelle said. The two women connected as Dorit confided that she felt “lost.” Then in a moment that no one saw coming, Dorit took accountability for her past behavior with Garcelle.

Meanwhile, Boz sat down with Kyle and revealed that Garcelle told her about the text. And Boz wanted to know why Kyle didn’t read the text to her. So, Kyle recited the text, almost verbatim. When she got to the part where she told PK that he could trust her because she never shared anything he told her, Boz reacted. For some reason, Sutton joined the conversation at the end, which annoyed Kyle. Finally, Boz asked Kyle to please read the text for her. Don’t we already know enough about the text?

“She knows nothing of my relationship with Dorit. She certainly doesn’t know my friendship with PK. I feel that’s inappropriate that she’s putting me in this position, and it’s insulting to me,” Kyle said in her confessional. But is it inappropriate for Kyle to be texting with PK?

Then Sutton reminded Kyle that no one asked her to open her phone. Naturally, Erika said that she didn’t like Kyle being told to read her texts. According to Erika, Kyle didn’t do anything wrong, and this is a talk that Kyle and Dorit should have – not the entire group. Then Kyle said that she needed to step away for a second. As she did, she wiped away tears.

Erika and Kyle went inside, and Kyle became emotional. “Everybody’s trying to make it look like I’ve done something wrong,” Kyle said. Erika tried to convince Kyle to speak with Dorit about it, but Kyle wasn’t willing.

A furious Kyle went back outside. She announced that she was going to say something, then she was leaving. “I can’t do this anymore,” she stated. “No, I’m f*cking leaving. Please.”

Kyle told Dorit, “I love you and PK and your kids and you know that. I know that you know that.” Thankfully, Dorit agreed with Kyle.

She continued, “I’ve been made to feel like I did something wrong. You know, sending a text to PK.” She explained that she would read the message once, and then it was over.

After reading the text, Kyle explained that she was not referring to PK telling her info about Dorit. She was referring to production on RHOBH, and she gestured towards the cameras.

“I’m not going to be made to feel I’ve done something wrong. I’ve loved you and your family and f*ck everybody. I’m done with this sh*t!” she exclaimed as she cried and stormed out. “I’m not doing this anymore!”

Both Erika and Dorit went after Kyle, followed by the rest of the group. “Everybody honestly should be ashamed of themselves,” Kyle told the group.

Eventually, Dorit took Kyle’s arm and guided her to the sidewalk so they could take a walk. And if you thought that Dorit and Kyle were going to make amends, you are mistaken.

Kyle told Dorit that she would cut off contact with PK if Dorit asked her to. “Well, Kyle, it’s a little late, because a girl’s girl would have stopped talking to my husband without having to be asked,” Dorit said in her confessional. Fair point.

Finally, Dorit confided in Kyle that the way that PK would yell at her really bothered her. In fact, Dorit called that side of him “the monster,” and she “protected” her husband.

However, in her confessional, Kyle insisted that Dorit was the boss in PK and Dorit’s marriage. “Is Dorit taking advantage of this moment – that she can paint a picture of who PK is and he’s not here to defend himself?” she asked.

But Dorit was circling back to the text. She told Kyle that hearing that she wrote that she wouldn’t repeat anything “doesn’t feel right.” Dorit added, “In other words, what he shares with you, you would never share with me.” Still, Kyle maintained that PK didn’t talk about their relationship, but Dorit wasn’t convinced.

And Kyle’s next confessional was interesting. “If you know my character, and you have a brain, you know that over 10 years, it’s not only a meme. We’ve talked about things in the past about Lisa Vanderpump, the show, whatever it may be,” Kyle said. She added that she never repeated those things, and PK never discussed Dorit.

Once again, Dorit has another tale to tell. According to Dorit, after Mauricio and PK would go out to dinner, PK would go back to the Umansky house. And he and Kyle would talk about her. So, how does Dorit know? PK told her! Now Dorit feels like Kyle is not being honest – again.

Kyle thought that her daughters were handling her split with Mauricio well. They surprised Portia with her own Porsche for turning sweet 16. And Mauricio and Portia were going to Europe the next week to celebrate. “As someone who came from a divorced family, I was always so proud of my family and what we built,” she stated. Now these family moments are “bittersweet” for Kyle. That may be one of the most honest admissions that Kyle has made about her marital problems.

Sutton visited Garcelle at her beach house. Talk turned to Kyle, and Sutton didn’t appreciate how Kyle stormed off. Plus, Sutton pointed out how Kyle is hypocritical because she slammed her co-stars for crying, getting upset, or leaving. “I, Sutton Stracke, am not going to bow down at the alter of Kyle Richards,” she said.

Meanwhile, Dorit and Kyle met up for facials to get some relaxation. Dorit believes that the text is about her. However, Erika pointed out that it could be about her, or it could have nothing to do with her. As for Erika? She wants proof, but Dorit doesn’t need it. And now Dorit called out Erika for always defending Kyle. Is it comfy being in the middle, Erika?

Then Erika said that she won’t side with either of them. They need to work it out themselves. Finally, Dorit asked Erika if Kyle and PK were discussing Dorit, would she be fine with that? “No,” Erika replied. Maybe Erika isn’t in the middle after all.
