The OHL has delivered discipline to Washington Capitals prospect Cam Allen after he decided to go on a bender. The defense prospect has been suspended by the OHL for drunk driving.Cam Allen

With news of his suspension, there's a chance that this could be the end of his OHL career after it was announced on Tuesday.
The London Knights defenseman has opted to stay home and cooperate fully with authorities and proceed with his court dates as scheduled according to the Knights GM Mark Hunter.
The defenseman has rightly faced outrage after what the hockey community went through after losing Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau to a drunk driver in rural New Jersey in August.

His drunk-driving accident could've seriously hurt someone, or himself, and at 20 years old shows a lack of discipline and judgment that could cause major harm.
Last Saturday Allen and the other suspect were found at 3:20 AM by London Police after a single-vehicle collision occurred. They'd find the vehicle unattended with blood on the passenger side and would arrest Allen at a local address and arrest him, while another passenger was taken to the hospital.
Allen was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance impaired operation exceeding blood alcohol concentration, failure to remain at the scene, failure to report the accident and novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration above zero.

For now, it appears that the former Captain of Team Canada will not be able to join his team, the Knights on OHL ice anytime in the future.
More updates to the story as it continues to develop.
He is due to appear in court on March 6th.
Cam Allen was drafted by the Washington Capitals during the 2023 NHL Draft in the fifth round and signed his entry-level contract this summer.
