Rams Reveal Bold Playoff Admission About Scars Caused by Eagles - suong

When the Philadelphia Eagles literally ran through the Los Angeles Rams near the end of November, they did so in a way that embarrassed a championship contender.

The Rams remember what happened that night well.

And they know exactly what needs to be done Sunday to make sure that doesn't happen again in the Divisional Round of the 2024 playoffs.

“That humbling night, when you have the right people…it's just like I've told you guys. I think a lot of the scars that we've had as a team have been what led us to the point that we're at. I know the greatest growth opportunities that I have ever taken in part, with myself in particular, are when it's the most challenging times,” Rams head coach Sean McVay said.

Since that loss to Philadelphia, the Rams have won six of their last seven games - including their blowout playoff win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday.

McVay credits that Eagles' loss to turn the team into what they needed to be, and where the Rams can go moving forward.

“The response was in alignment with what we want, but I also think there is a respect and an understanding of what's going to be required if we want to continue to earn some more time,” said McVay. “What a great challenge. We love it."

For their part, Philadelphia has openly acknowledged that they understand they'll face a different Rams team on Sunday afternoon.

It remains to be seen which team learned the most from that laughter of a game just three months ago.
