Raiders Trolled Over Travel Issues Ahead of Saints Clash - suong

Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark DavisThe Las Vegas Raiders were delayed in their departure for New Orleans due to plane issues on Saturday.

The Raiders were scheduled to leave in the morning for their Week 17 matchup but mechanical issues with the team plane led to delays.

"Original plane, scheduled to depart Las Vegas in AM, had to be swapped out for new plane. Team scheduled to leave LV soon," ESPN's Paul Gutierrez wrote on X late on Saturday.

Fans took the opportunity to troll the Raiders, who are in the running for a top draft pick.

"Just stay in Vegas and forfeit," one fan said with a praying emoji.

"Oh no… I guess we’ll just take the loss and have to forfeit the game," another added.

The Raiders won last week, besting the Jaguars 19-14 and snapping a 10-game losing streak. But at 3-12, the win hurt Las Vegas' position in the draft. The QB-needy Raiders are currently in position for the No. 6 overall pick.

"The most advanced tank move I’ve ever seen," a fan chimed in.

The Raiders have been closely linked with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who is expected to be one of the first passers off the board in April's NFL draft. But another win could put the Raiders out of reach to draft a top quarterback prospect.

Las Vegas has cycled through Gardner Minshew, Aidan O'Connell, and Desmond Ridder at quarterback this season, resulting in just 15 passing touchdowns — a total that’s only better than the Giants’ league-low 10.

The Raiders are a two-point road favorite against New Orleans, which will be without multiple key starters, including Derek Carr, Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara.
