The Las Vegas Raiders will have many issues to address this offseason, including finding a new head coach and a quarterback for the future. After only winning four games in 2024, it became clear that the offense needed to improve, especially at the running back position.
With the current starters, Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah, set to become free agents this offseason, Las Vegas will have to quickly address signing another running back that can perform at a high level. Even with Sincere McCormick and Zamir White likely coming back, they are not playing at a level expected of a starter.
Star pass rusher Maxx Crosby has began recruiting one running back that would make a big difference, and that will also be available on the open market. Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris is set to hit free agency this offseason, and Crosby has been vouching for him to come to the Raiders.
"Why not? He's from the Bay. Najee's a baller... Anybody that could help when it comes to winning and being a culture guy, a leader, that's the type of guy you want around," said Crosby about Harris. "You've seen Najee, he's played four years in the league and has had 1,000 yards every single season. That alone is impressive. He's a tough mf'er, and hard to tackle, too... I'd love to have a guy like Najee around. Selfishly, he could come to Vegas all day."
With such high praise from Crosby, the Raiders could be looking into Harris and how he can have an impact on an offense that struggled to run the ball in 2024.
