The Las Vegas Raiders may not have had a game this past weekend, but rookie offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson still had himself quite the weekend.
On top of popping by Eugene, Oregon, to see his alma mater, the No. 1 Oregon Ducks throttle the Maryland Terrapins to advance to 10-0 for the third time in program history, he also had a momentous occasion himself.
The 2023 Rimington Trophy award winner revealed via an Instagram post that he and his girlfriend, Kimmi Hance, had gotten engaged. Powers-Johnson posted the moment with the caption reading, "Future Powers-Johnson's...."
The comment section was flooded with support from his Las Vegas Raiders and Oregon Ducks teammates, with notable names like Maxx Crosby, Andre James and Terrance Ferguson all offering him kind messages after the big news.
Certainly hard to imagine a better way to spend the bye, and also may take some pressure off Powers-Johnson, considering how nerve-racking planning an engagement can be.
He and the Raiders (2-7) will hit the road for their Week 11 game, as they'll be heading to Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins (2-6).
