With the 2024 NFL regular season quickly ending, the Las Vegas Raiders are already looking forward to a fresh start next year. The team is 2-9, so they are in a great position to draft a great quarterback. However, star Maxx Crosby shared his thoughts on the team tanking to secure a good pick.
Crosby told the media, "If we're not playing to win, then what are we doing? I don't play to get a better pick."
The star pass rusher has been one of the few bright spots on the team this season, and fans fear that if the team doesn't turn things around, he will possibly look for another team to go to.
Crosby has recorded 39 tackles and six-and-a-half sacks this season, which is low for his usual standard. He has amounted to 360 tackles and 58.5 sacks in his career and has been one of the premier pass rushers in the NFL.
The veteran has voiced his concerns about the team's mindset on a "winning culture," which seems to not be changing for the better. However, if Las Vegas is able to draft a quarterback like Shedeur Sanders, the team's confidence could be boosted for 2025.
