The Las Vegas Raiders made broad sweeping changes to the organization this offseason when owner Mark Davis brought in a new leadership tandem. He hired Pete Carroll to be the team's new head coach, and John Spytek was set to serve as the new general manager.
Instead of cleaning house on the coaching staff and in the front office, however, the new duo kept several pieces from the previous regimes. Most notably, defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and defensive line coach Rob Leonard kept their jobs, and several other executives and scouts held onto their positions in the team's front office.
When the 2025 NFL Draft was over, however, the Raiders added two more members to their front office, Brian Stark and Johnathon Stigall. To make room for these two men, Inside the League's Neil Stratton reported that Las Vegas parted ways with Personnel Coordinator Curtis Knox and Senior Personnel Advisor Shaun Herock.
While these two are veterans in the NFL, their departure is not necessarily a bad thing for the franchise. Spytek honored their roles and gave them a chance, but ultimately, they were not on the same page, which is not a good thing for either party.
A new era is clearly underway in Las Vegas, which is needed after the destruction that has been the last several seasons. It may be sad to watch people go, but Raider Nation will quickly forget if the team starts winning.
