The Las Vegas Raiders dropped their sixth consecutive game on Sunday, falling to the Miami Dolphins 34-19.
The Raiders are now 2-8, and some fans are ready to fast-forward to the draft, where Las Vegas could target a franchise quarterback. One of the most frequent prospects linked to the Raiders has been Colorado star passer Shedeur Sanders, who saw his interestingly-timed message on Sunday bombarded by fans ready to see him in silver and black.
"Thank you GOD," Sanders wrote on X just minutes after the Raiders lost.
Some keen social media detectives are convinced that Sanders's near-weekly three-word message aligns with the Raiders' losses.
"Like clockwork. Every time Raiders lose," one fan wrote on X.
"THE SCHEDULED RAIDERS LOSS TWEET HAS ARRIVED!" another said.
Sanders' message quickly gained traction, with hundreds of comments, most of them from Raiders fans ready to welcome him to Las Vegas.
"Dude I can't even begin to describe how much seeing you in Silver and Black is gonna bring me joy in a way no fanbase will ever understand," a fan said. "The desperation is insane now but dawg you're the savior."
Deion Sanders has said he'll step in if he thinks the wrong team is eyeing either Shedeur or Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter in the draft.
"I'm not gonna do it publicly, I'd do it privately," Deion Sanders said during an appearance on FS1. "I'm going to be a dad until the cows come home, and with Travis as well."
The latest projection from Tankathon has the Raiders picking No. 4 overall, which might be too late to select Sanders. Las Vegas is projected to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward with their first-round pick.
Sanders has continued to improve his draft stock with his strong play, and Colorado is in contention to compete for a Big 12 title. This season, Sanders has collected 3,222 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
