Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce Sparks Buzz By Claiming Bad Luck Is The Key Factor Behind The Team's Struggles This Season - suong

The Las Vegas Raiders have a 4-12 record with one more game left in the 2024 regular season. Aside from the last two games, the Raiders have struggled to establish a winning culture. Head coach Antonio Pierce weighed in on what played a factor in a disappointing season.

Pierce told the media that luck did not go the team's way this season, and that luck plays a big role in how a season can go.

"You always want luck," Pierce said. "You always want the ball to bounce your way. We just wasn't lucky enough this year.

Pierce has been on the hot seat for most of the season because of the team's struggles, and the Raider Nation seems to want him out of Las Vegas. A big reason for this is he has recently said that he is not focused on the future of the team right now, and he just wants to win games now.

However, this mindset has set the Raiders back, as they are now picking eighth in the 2025 NFL draft after holding the number one pick just a couple of weeks ago. Because of this, the team is going to have a hard time drafting a quarterback like Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward, who will likely be taken off of the board with the first five picks.
