The Married to Medicine cast member shared new details on her current relationship with her ex-husband.
One of the biggest delights on Married to Medicine Season 11 — so far! — is seeing Quad Webb happy in love with her new boyfriend, King. But what does her current relationship tell her about her old one with her ex-husband, Dr. Gregory Lunceford?
During Season 11, Episode 7 of the show, Quad and King chatted about the fact that they were about to be in the same room as Gregory —who is now married to Lateasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford — later that evening.
“I do want to know, how do you feel about tonight? Are you gonna say anything to my ex-husband?” she asked her beau. King, for his part, was “not concerned" about the potentially awkward situation.
“That’s your past. You know what I mean? Are you living in the past?” he asked her, to which she responded, "Absolutely not."
“The thing is, I’m not living my life with the focal point being my ex-husband," she added in a confessional. "F-ck him! I’m only concerned with my present and my future."
Quad shared a similar sentiment during a recent interview with The Daily Dish. When the subject of Gregory came up, she noted that she's really unbothered by her ex. In fact, they don't really communicate at all ... despite running in similar circles.
"I don't have any interaction with my ex. I respect the fact that he's married and, on top of that, I'm just not interested in having a relationship with him, like that is my past," she said. "I'm always focused on my King, because he's my present and he's my future and so I think with that alone I'm so engulfed into our relationship and what we're establishing and building."
"I don't care really what's going on somewhere else. It's minute," she added. "So Gregory is very minor, minute, next to nothing in my life at all ... outside of the fact that we were once married."
Who is Dr. Gregory Lunceford?
Interestingly enough, fans met Quad and Gregory at the same time — they were married when they joined the show for Season 1 in 2013. (They wed in 2012 and broke up about six years later.)
Later, Gregory reappeared on the show alongside his new wife, Sweet Tea, who he married in April 2023.
“I want them both to be happy. I don’t want it to be a situation where people think [that] because she’s a part of this show that I have something against her,” Quad said during a BravoCon 2023 panel when asked about the couple. “Her and I have spoken a number of times off-camera and we’re very clear that there is no animosity between the two of us. My ex-husband and I have been divorced for five years plus. And, listen, happiness looks very, very different for different people. She deserves happiness and so does Dr. Gregory Lunceford.”
Still, Quad won't give her ex a pass for certain choices he's made on the show. When asked about the eventual Married to Medicine reunion in her more recent interview with The Daily Dish, she said he'll have some things to reckon for.
"I actually think that my ex will have a lot that he needs to address, cause he was out of control this season," she said. "Yeah."
Details on Quad Webb's boyfriend, King
In the same interview, Quad revealed how she connected with King.
"We were introduced by a mutual friend. Initially he'd ask me out to lunch and he'd ask me to dinner and I was just like ... I wasn't there yet, you know what I mean? I was still kind of doing what I needed to do in terms of my healing [and] restoring who I was as a woman, and so I really wasn't there yet," she said. "We then met again like May 15, 2023, and from that moment on we have never ever separated. We've never separated and I don't want to be without him. I don't."
Although they are inseparable, they don't yet live together. "It's so funny, because our houses are really close to each other, so we kind of just land where we land," she explained. "Sometimes he's here, sometimes I'm there, it's very seamless relationship. There's no pressure at all and I really like that. It's easy."
