Great news for the New York Rangers, as Adam Edstrom is steadily recovering from his lower-body injury he's suffered since February 1st. According to Head Coach Peter Laviolette, he is "progressing".Adam Edstrom

Since February 1st, the New York Rangers have been deprived of regular 4th-line wingers, Adam Edstrom and Matt Rempe. The "Rempire Towers" as we know them.
The dynamic duo is both out on injury, however, we just got an update from the New York Rangers on Adam Edstrom's status.
According to Head Coach Peter Laviolette, Edstrom is:

«He's not yet (Skating),» Laviolette said. «He's looking great though. He's working out, he's in here. He's progressing as well.»

So it seems as if the depth winger will eventually begin skating, but now he is working on recovering steadily.
Even though this is great news for Edstrom, the Rangers have seven games left in the NHL regular season and won't be able to utilize his talents as he's not been cleared to skate, even in a non-contact jersey.
Edstrom found his way into the regular lineup for the Rangers this year, after only playing 11 games in 2023-2024.
Now, he's found consistency under Peter Laviolette, and has played 55 games this season.
He's been a regular fourth-liner who has found a way to contribute with power-forward Matt Rempe on the right.
While playing on the team's bottom-six he's averaged a TOI of 9:16 in 2024-2025.
While he's scored 9 points (5 goals, 4 assists) and has begun to develop into a reliable forward the team can depend on.
