Plus, Porsha Williams opens up about her "closeness" with ex Dennis McKinley amid her divorce from Simon Guobadia.
Porsha Williams is sharing more shocking details about her and Simon Guobadia’s ongoing divorce.
On Season 16, Episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Porsha shed new light on what went wrong in her marriage.
"I did not know that certain things, he was lying to me about," Porsha explained, recalling a "scary" incident during which police "surrounded" their jet. When Porsha asked Simon what was going on, she said he claimed that there was a time he was sitting in a car and "didn’t know that the car was stolen."
Then, when Porsha started seeing headlines about Simon’s alleged "fake marriage" and "some scamming in the past, some credit card fraud, and being deported," as she described it, "I literally was like, 'What is all of this?'"
After Porsha filed for divorce in February 2024, she said that she even noticed on their living room camera that he already had other “women in the house.” All of that behavior was the antithesis of why she fell for Simon in the first place.
"When I really knew that Simon was my person was when I was writing my book [The Pursuit of Porsha] and him reading about trauma in my past from men and him saying, 'You’re safe,'" she said on RHOA. "But feeling like I had a man who was honest to me is the very thing that slipped away at the end."
Are Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia still married?
Despite filing for divorce more than a year ago, Porsha revealed on the March 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she is "still married" to Simon.
However, prior to the most recent delay in the legal process, Porsha noted on WWHL that the divorce "was about to be over" and that it still "should be over soon."
Porsha opens up about "closeness" with Dennis McKinley amid Simon divorce
While navigating her divorce from Simon, Porsha has remained committed to coparenting and keeping things as normal as possible for her and ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley’s five-year-old daughter Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley.
"I'm really glad that Dennis and I have agreed to be the best parents we can be for Pilar right now," she said in an Episode 2 confessional. "Being that there is a big loss with the divorce, closeness from both of us at the same time is what she needs to see."
At the same time, Porsha still has her own issues with Dennis, particularly surrounding his professional relationship with her RHOA castmate Drew Sidora. Though the topic reached a boiling point when the pair came together for a playdate with their five year old at the end of the episode, Porsha walked away before the tears started flowing.
"I literally have no expectations on Dennis besides being a great dad for Pilar," Porsha added in another confessional. "But on the one thing I’m asking you: Don't film with [Drew] on the show . . . you can't do that. I don't know why I can’t get loyalty from people."
Don't miss what else Porsha said about her divorce from Simon on the RHOA Season 16 premiere.
