The Real Housewives of Atlanta is finally back for its 16th season, and viewers have much to say. So far, one of the biggest sticking points has been Porsha Williams‘ reaction to Dennis McKinley working with Drew Sidora. The latest episode saw the RHOA star breaking down, and it even featured a hot mic moment between her and Dennis where she expressed frustration. Now, the internet is reacting, and it’s not going in Porsha’s favor.
As fans know, Porsha and Dennis were engaged to be married. The two never walked down the aisle, but they have a daughter together. Regarding Drew and Dennis, they worked on her music and filmed scenes for the show.
Recently, The Neighborhood Talk posted a clip from episode two of season 16 that showed Porsha and Dennis talking about the situation they currently face. The clip began with Porsha walking away and then saying to a producer, “I could just never have support. Imagine he and I getting into it or something and we’re not speaking, and now he gets offered these cameras to come and use my own platform against me. I don’t need anything else. I’m trying, I’m literally trying.”
The producer then asked if she’d told Dennis how she felt. “He doesn’t deserve my tears. I refuse to give him my tears,” Porsha responded.
From there, a text overlay told viewers that 20 minutes had passed, and she was now speaking to Dennis in her car. Porsha said in the scene, “When you show up anywhere on these cameras with somebody else, it’s gon’ be a problem.”
She added, “Another damn housewife. Looks absolutely insane.” Dennis then reminded her that they were still wearing their microphones. She responded, “Yeah, I’m sure you know. You’re a pro now with it, huh?”
Porsha continued in the car, “Every promotion is not a good promotion. At the end of the day, guess what? We are hollering about we’re family; you represent us.”
In the end, Porsha said, “Do what you do. And in the end, it’s gonna mark how this happens. It’s gonna mark how this looks for your daughter. Can’t count on nobody but me.”
This was an emotional scene, but many questioned why Porsha was so upset over Drew working with Dennis, as can be seen in the comments on the clip. A number of fans brought up Porsha’s history with marrying Simon Guobadia, who was married to her RHOA co-star and acquaintance Falynn Guobadia when she first met him.
“But yet u married another housewife ex husband & Dennis gladly participated in ur shenanigans coming to gatherings while u had ur daughter sitting on the man lap & playing daddy to ur daughter🥴,” wrote one fan.
“Like Dennis said he’s had to watch her & her 16 marriages😂 ain’t no fun when it’s turned on her,” added another viewer.
One person stated, “I don’t see the issue! If they’re not f’n go ahead and make yall songs, Chile.”
Another person commented, “She’s gaslighting. She’s trying to guilt-trip him so that he won’t do it. Live in your truth, King! Don’t let her manipulate you.”
Another fan accused Porsha of using this as a way to divert people from discussing her divorce, writing, “She didn’t want to talk about that divorce, lol, so she had to make something up. Girl, quit it with those crocodile tears.”
Other people questioned how Dennis working with Drew would negatively impact their daughter. One comment read, “It’s not going to look anyway towards his daughter she’s worried about her own selfish image.”
Finally, other commenters felt that Porsha was really upset because she still loves Dennis. One person said, “She still loves Dennis and really wants to double back to him and he’s moving on and she’s mad. Love Porscha DOWN but this ain’t it.”
