Carl Radke gave his fans and followers a new look at the exterior of his Soft Bar after a pic shared on Reddit last week raised concerns about the location’s lack of progress.
In a post shared to his Story on Thursday, the 40-year-old Summer House star confirmed that the venue, which was not named in honor of his past suggestion for his ex-fiancée, Lindsay Hubbard, 38, to be “softer,” is under construction as he mentioned the upcoming opening date and offered a look inside a Connecticut brewery that makes non-alcoholic beer.
In Carl’s May 22 clip, he was seen out front of Soft Bar, where a garage door had been removed and a ladder was seen.
“[The] garage door is down. This is gonna be glass at some point here soon but [we’re] making some progress, slowly but surely,” Carl declared in the video. “[We’re] still tracking opening this summer. [I] can’t wait to show you guys.”
And during the Summer House finale watch party this week, Carl teased an August 1 opening date.
In another video, also shared to his Instagram Story and the Story of Soft Bar on Thursday, Carl was seen in a hairnet walking with several men through a brewery, where he will seemingly be sourcing some of the products he’ll offer at Soft Bar.
“We’re here at the Athletic Brewery in Milford, Connecticut, doing a little tour behind the scenes … one of the best nonalcoholic beers in the business,” he said, praising the company and thanking the team for the opportunity.
“This is really cool,” he added.
Following the soft launch of Soft Bar last summer, Carl successfully raised nearly $130,000 from almost 200 investors for the project.
“I put a lot of work into this,” Carl said in a confessional on a recent episode of Summer House, via Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “I put over $100,000 of my own money in.”
“There’s no guarantees with this, but I would rather fall flat on my face going towards something that I truly believe in and that I’m passionate about than not,” he added.
The two-part Summer House season nine reunion begins next Wednesday, May 28, at 9/8c on Bravo.
