Jarrett “JT” Thomas went Instagram official with a new girlfriend on Sunday, just days after the Southern Charm trailer confirmed his upcoming showmance with Venita Aspen.
After sharing a series of photos of himself with a woman named Ali Pereless, JT, 39, who recently opened up about his diabetes health journey, which has led to substantial weight loss, was met with backlash from fans, and he was called out for potentially staging a “fake love triangle” with Venita, 31.
“Long overdue,” JT wrote in the caption of a November 3 slideshow on Instagram. He also included a hashtag for “it’s complicated.”
In addition to photos together, JT posted a solo pic of his new flame Ali.

In the comments section of the post, some fans expressed excitement for the new relationship, comparing JT’s new leading lady to Reese Witherspoon, while others admitted to being upset about the debut.
“WTF is wrong with you?” a person named Kendall Pereless, who is rumored to be Ali’s sister, asked.
“But what about Venita?” wondered another.
Meanwhile, in the comments section of another post shared just days ago, JT responded to a Southern Charm viewer who shipped him and Venita.
“God I hope you and Venita are engaged with a baby on the way,” the person had written.
“Okay this one made me smile,” JT replied, seemingly suggesting he liked the idea.
As Best of Bravo shared the odd comment on their Instagram Story, they also noted that Venita had unfollowed JT.
Before JT went public with Ali, she appeared to accuse him of faking his romance with Venita for a storyline on the show.

Then, when another person encouraged Ali to “spill the tea,” she wrote, “The truth will come out 🙂 Ya boy isn’t as kind and honest as he proclaims!”
