Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga are re-listing their New Jersey mansion for a dropped price of $2.95 million.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars, who originally listed the home in 2017 for $3.5 million (and then re-listed it a few times over), also added some updates to the 9,000-square-foot property, as Melissa shared in a recent Instagram post.
“It’s back on the market baby! My Re Done home????????@joeygorga & I built this beauty from the ground up. You Should be so lucky to live in it❤️,” Melissa wrote in a July 11 Instagram post, also tagging realtor, Joshua Barris, a self-described “celebrity realtor” and “luxury real estate expert.”
The lavish home, located in the Pond section of Monteville, NJ, boasts a “private estate” of two acres of “landscaped grounds,” with six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and one half bathroom. The backyard contains a stone patio and pool area with entertaining and an outdoor kitchen.
The airy, elegant foyer features a central “bridal” staircase, and the home has an open-concept kitchen with a large island, ideal for family gatherings. The updated spaces feature more gray and beige tones in a modern Victorian aesthetic, with stylish pieces and vintage touches on the ceilings, walls, and windows.
The property also features rooms and outposts for entertaining and amusement, with an enormous yet cozy basement, billiards room, recording studio, movie theater, wine cellar, and gym.
The spacious master bed and bathrooms feature an eclectic mix of modern and classic styles, with plenty of light and air entering the rooms for a relaxed feel.
The Bravo couple has a certain history with their mansion listing, and it has been on and off the market for years. Originally purchasing the home in 2007 for $950,000, the Gorgas faced unfortunate legal trouble when they rented it out in 2012 and the tenant stopped making payments over claims that Joe failed to make promised repairs. The renter moved out in 2014 after the couple sued him.
During that time, the family moved into a new Franklin Lakes home, but they then moved back to the Monteville property after never having lived at the new home.
