After signing Saquon Barkley away from the Giants in 2024, the Eagles turned their eyes to a defensive player in 2025.

Ojulari was a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and instantly showed production as a linebacker.

In his rookie year he flashed with eight sacks, a forced fumble, and 49 total tackles.

Ojulari's numbers have decline slightly since his rookie year, with his six sacks this season being his most since 2021.

Availability has also been a problem for Ojulari, who hasn't played a full season since his rookie year.

He has missed 22 games in just the last three seasons due to various injuries.

It is worth noting that Barkley had some down years with the Giants before going on to sign with the Eagles.

In 2023 he had 962 yards and in 2021 he had just 593 yards.

Of course, in 2024 he went over 2,000 yards and scored 13 touchdowns.

Howie Roseman, the Eagles general manager, is known for getting some absolute steals in free agency, so just $4 million for Ojulari could end up being a bargain.

At just 24 years old, it is possible that the Eagles transform him into a superstar.

Eagles fans are hoping for this too, and shared their thoughts about Ojulari on social media.

"If he stays healthy this will be a steal by Philly," one fan said.

"Really good deal. Much less than what Sweat went for," another fan said.

"Wow, Eagles gotta stop getting away with this," a third fan said.

"He’s gonna magically be healthy and ball out," a fourth fan said.

"What a steal!" a fifth fan said.

The Eagles have actually signed two other players away from the Giants this offseason.

Cornerback Adoree' Jackson and linebacker Patrick Johnson have both joined the Eagles.

They both came in on one-year deals.
