THE Philadelphia Eagles could lose a valuable piece to their 2024 Super Bowl-winning team.

The Eagles are in a bit of a salary cap crunch and could say goodbye to an offensive star as part of an over 11 million dollar decision.

Philadelphia lost multiple players in free agency, including Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Mekhi Becton, and others.

The future is now murky with tight end Dallas Goedert, who has reportedly been on the trade market.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman addressed the trade rumors regarding Goedert at the NFL owners' meetings on Monday.

"There's no update," Roseman said, per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

"Obviously, Dallas has been a tremendous player and person for us. ...

"The opportunities that we got into free agency with [TEs] Harrison Bryant and [Kylen] Granson were just opportunities we felt were good for our football team.

"I know certainly that Dallas is unique player.

"So really, that's kind of where we're standing."

The 30-year-old Goedert is in the final year of his four-year, $57 million contract.

He's set to make $11.8 million in 2025 but he has a dead-money charge of $23.8 next season due to four void years at the end of his contract.

If the Eagles were to trade Goedert before June 1, they'd take on $21.3 million in dead cap money in 2025.

However, trading Goedert after June 1 would give the Eagles a $7.7 million cap hit and save them $4 million and putting a smaller dead-money charge in 2026.

Last season, Goedert recorded 42 receptions for 496 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games.

He missed seven games due to injury but was able to play in all four of the Eagles' playoff contests.

During Philly's Super Bowl run, Goedert posted 17 catches for 215 yards and a touchdown.

However, Goedert has now missed 15 games because of injury in the past three seasons.

With Goedert being involved in trade discussions, the Eagles signed two tight ends in free agency: Kylen Granson and Harrison Bryant.

Philadelphia could also elect to add a tight end in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, which takes place on April 24.
