Phaedra Parks Wants to ‘Bury the Past’ as She Returns ‘from the Dead’ for New RHOA Tagline-quang

After an eight-year gap, 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' fans finally have a new Phaedra Parks tagline

Phaedra Parks is embracing her Real Housewives resurrection.

The reality star made her long-awaited return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta last week, joining the cast of season 16 after an eight-year absence from the Bravo franchise. And in her all-new tagline, it's clear she’s ready to reclaim her peach, on her own terms.

PEOPLE has an exclusive premiere of the quip, which will officially debut on RHOA's all-new episode, airing Sunday, June 1.

"I returned from the dead, now let’s bury the past for good," Parks says.

Like all good Housewives taglinesParks' has multiple meanings. It's both a cheeky nod to her absence from the show, her dramatic 2017 exit and to her mortician's license (one of her many jobs).

Parks, 51, first joined RHOA in season 3, becoming a fan favorite for her Southern one-liners, over-the-top events and infamous “fix it, Jesus” moments. But her time on the show ended after season 9, amid a falling out with the cast and explosive reunion revelations.

Now after stints on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls TripMarried to Medicine and The Traitors, she's a part of the Atlanta Housewives again, reuniting with Porsha Williams — the "frick" to her "frack" — as well as Cynthia Bailey, who also came back to RHOA this season, though as a Friend.

They join Drew Sidora, the only holdover from the show's total cast overhaul, plus new Housewives Angela Oakley, Brittany Eady,  Kelli Ferrell and Shamea Morton Mwangi (the latter a longtime Friend to the show who was promoted to a peach-holder).

"I'm back where I belong. Baby, I am home!" Parks said on her 2.0 debut episode, which aired on Sunday, May 25.

The installment also saw Parks issuing a rare comment about her RHOA firing, a topic she's long avoided addressing.

As fans may remember, the attorney and mother of two was axed from the show when she admitted to spreading rumors that former Housewife Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker allegedly planned to drug Williams and Morton Mwangi to take advantage of them sexually (Burruss and Tucker have vehemently denied the claims).

"Unfortunately, the last time you saw me wasn't my best moment," Parks acknowledged in her confessional, before hinting that it shouldn't be held against her. "Now, we know I regret how I left the group, but he who is without fault cast the first stone."

At least one person doesn't seem to be holding it against her: Williams, who experienced her own fallout from the rumor. Despite blaming Parks for feeding her that information, Williams said on RHOA the two had long moved past their issues.

"My relationship with Porsha is awesome," Parks added. "We have had our ups and downs, but we've always maintained that friendship. When there is a true friendship, no matter what you go through, it can never be broken, and it's just like riding a bicycle. When we get together, we are rolling."

And as for her time on RHOA, Parks previously told PEOPLE she's hopeful her presence will make RHOA must-see TV again.

"We were the No. 1 franchise of Housewives and I was a part of making that franchise a successful franchise. And I would love to bring the franchise come back to its heyday," she said.

"I will say this, it’s going to be an amazing season," Parks teased. "I mean, it will definitely be reminiscent to the Housewives you love originally."

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
