Phaedra Parks didn’t waste any time in throwing shade at her Dancing With the Stars competitor, Anna Delvey. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star reminded the audience that the subject of Netflix‘s Inventing Anna is under house arrest.
DWTS Season 33 Casting:
The Traitors season 2 standout star was asked, “Which casting announcement surprised you most?” Without hesitation, Phaedra declared, “Anna.”
“How did she pull that off?” wondered the ET reporter. Phaedra quipped, “Well, she does have on a leg monitor, so she won’t go far.” Knowing she read the technically incarcerated con artist to filth, her professional partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, tried to conceal his laugh. The interviewer cackled, which is an appropriate response to the RHOA star.
The logistics of Anna competing:
According to Page Six, Anna’s been “under house arrest.” She’s “waiting to find out if she’d be allowed to stay in the US after completing her sentence. The terms of her house arrest were recently relaxed, allowing faux heiress to work and to travel freely within 70 miles of her home.”
Anna has been given a Social Security number, was allowed to return to social media, and was granted “special permission” to travel to Los Angeles to film ABC’s juggernaut competition series.
For the record, Anna Delvey will be the first ever contestant to compete while serving a prison sentence … and donn an ankle monitor while performing.
She’s not the first contestant to have served some time. Past contestants include Tommy Chong, Lil Kim, Teresa Giudice, and Steve O have all seen the inside of a cell. However, Anna is the first DWTS contestant who became a household name because of their crimes.
