Phaedra Parks, like a phoenix from the ashes she cremated herself, returning to Real Housewives of Atlanta

Everyone's favorite lawyer/mortician/Southern belle is back: "You called. I answered."

You called. She answered.

Yes, like some beautifully bewigged crusader, Phaedra Parks has come to save the day — specifically, season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The reality television legend announced via Instagram — exiting a private jet, a peach in one hand, a fuchsia fur draped down the stairs in the other, surrounded by Vuitton luggage, naturally — that she would be returning to the show that first brought her to stardom.

Her caption, a simple: "You called. I answered 🍑#RHOA #S16."

Parks joined RHOA in season 3 in 2010, quickly becoming a fan favorite with her lightning-fast shade, a skill she would later bring to her scene-stealing turn on Traitors earlier this year. However, after Parks spread an unsubstantiated rumor about Kandi Burruss in season 9, Parks was fired from the series in 2017.

Over the years, Parks remained adjacent to the Housewives universe, appearing on episodes of Married to Medicine (also based in Atlanta), The Real Housewives of Dubai, season 2 of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, and the aforementioned Traitors with its strong Bravo contingent.

When asked by Entertainment Weekly in 2022 if she would consider returning to RHOA, Parks seemed indifferent.

"Oh, that's not — that's not in my view," she responded. "Don't you love seeing me with the lovely ladies in Dubai? With all the fabulousness over there."

Of course, with Burruss in the cast, her return was unlikely, as the two had never really buried the hatchet. But Burruss announced she was exiting the series ahead of season 16, and then Kenya Moore, another of Parks' rivals, was seemingly let go after a scandal of her own.

Meanwhile, Parks' good gal pal, the "Frick" to her "Frack," Porsha Williams is back for the new season, and the re-pairing of that iconic duo suddenly gives The Real Housewives of Atlanta — which, let's be real, was looking a little lackluster after Burruss, Moore, and MVP Sherée Whitfield all left — a whole new, fabulous appeal.

Welcome home, Phaedra.
