In Season 10 of Married to Medicine, Phaedra Parks joined the cast of doctors and doctors’ wives, despite not being a doctor or a doctor’s wife. She’s been single all season, and since she has no relationship to discuss at the Season 10 reunion, the producers had to reach into her past to find a man to sit with her. They somehow got Apollo Nida to make an appearance.
Phaedra and Apollo were married for five years and share two children. They divorced in 2016 after Apollo went to jail for fraud crimes. After all of these years, they’re finally reuniting on the Married to Medicine reunion stage. People first broke the news about his unexpected cameo and teased what we can expect to hear from the ex-convict.
An unexpected reunion
The upcoming reunion between Phaedra and Apollo will be the first time we’ve seen the two of them on screen since Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. That was literally a lifetime ago. On M2M, we saw Phaedra celebrate their kid’s 13th birthday. Apollo mysteriously skipped out on the celebration, which left a lot of people puzzled. Now, Apollo will have the chance to speak for himself.
Sources close to the show said that Apollo decided to show up for the M2M reunion to help support Phaedra. He wanted to be able to talk about their life after divorce (and prison). Apparently, they think it’s important to Phaedra’s storyline to show them talk about their co-parenting situation. In the past, Phaedra has applauded Apollo for being a solid co-parent. So, it sounds like he’s going to get the chance to tell us in his own words.
We’ll have to wait a few more weeks before we see Phaedra and Apollo’s big reunion. The Season 10 reunion of M2M will kick off on March 3rd on Bravo. Until then, new episodes air on Sunday nights at 9/8c.
