New York Rangers forward receives a significant promotion within the organization after recent performances.
As Rangers forward Filip Chytil is sidelined with an upper-body injury, Will Cuylle has been promoted to take his spot on the second unit of the power play.
As the New York Rangers hit the ice for their morning practice, Cullye joined Kaapo Kakko, Reilly Smith, Alexis Lafreniere, and Zac Jones on the second power play until.
Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette has also been impressed with how Cuylle has been playing and feels the 22-year old forward earned this opportunity.
«He's had a really strong start to his year. I do see him as somebody who is probably eventually going to be a regular on a power-play unit, but we've got guys who have been there and those decisions are tough to make. He should get some time tonight out there."
Throughout the Rangers first 15 games of the season, the 22-year old had managed to tally five goals, six assists for a total 11 points so far, while averaging 13:42 minutes per game.
Since joining the New York Rangers back in 2022, Will Cuylle has since played 100 games tallying 18 goals and 14 assists for a total of 32 points while having a +/- of +6.
