Paige DeSorbo isn’t one to shy away from a public response when needed. Recently, the Summer House star took heat from followers for attending the Philadelphia Eagles football game that took place on January 12. Those “mad” at the fashion contributor questioned her New York roots and why she was supporting an opposing team..
Naturally, Paige responded to the trolls quickly and eloquently. A few days later, she took to her Giggly Squad podcast to respond.
Paige DeSorbo described herself as a “fair weather fan”
“My favorite thing actually this whole weekend was — people were mad at me for a lot of things, but none of them honestly pertained to me — but the one thing that did pertain to me that was actually true, ‘Oh, she thinks that she’s a New Yorker? She’s from Albany,'” Paige said to her co-host Hannah Berner.
Haters also criticized Paige’s choice of attire for the sporting event. She was wearing an Eagles bomber jacket.
“First of all, yes, I am from Albany, and, second, I am a New Yorker because I’ve lived here for 10 years, but thirdly, [they said] ‘A true New Yorker would never wear [an] Eagles outfit or another team.’ And I just want to say, I am a fair weather fan,” the Summer House star continued. “If there’s one thing about me, I don’t give a f*ck about your sports. If my friend sends me a dope jacket to any team, I’m wearing it.”
Paige has been on the receiving end of some online hate after her shock split from Southern Charm star Craig Conover. But unwilling to back down or hide away until it all passes, the fashionista plans to be everywhere.
“Ima be outside a lot,” she responded in the comments section of a social media post.
Certainly, her star has risen further with her Giggly Squad tour. So Paige gets a lot of attention, both positive and negative when she goes out. She advised followers to “get used to it.”
The new season of Summer House begins February 12 at 9/8c on Bravo.
