Paige DeSorbo Giggles At Craig Conover's Plans To Freeze His Sperm In First 'Southern Charm' Episode Since Their Split: “That's The Craziest Thing In The World” | Decider

The most recent episode of Southern Charm couldn’t have come at a worse time. Just days after Paige DeSorbo announced her split from Craig Conover, the latter opened up about his plans to start a family with the Summer House star during Thursday night’s (Jan. 2) episode of Southern Charm.

“Me and Paige have decided to freeze my sperm,” Conover told Shep Rose and Austen Kroll.

Producers cut to a flashback of Conover at the doctor, where he had to provide a sample of his sperm.

“I read about this person who got in a car accident and they were like, yeah, they survived but they can’t produce anymore,” Conover explained, noting that becoming a dad in his future is a “certainty.”

When the Sewing Down South founder revealed his plans to freeze his sperm to DeSorbo a few weeks earlier, she seemed just as shocked as his friends.

“What the fuck,” she said with a giggle. “That’s, like, the craziest thing in the world.”

Conover — who said it would probably be about three or four years before he and DeSorbo begin having kids — admitted his life hasn’t exactly gone in the direction he had always dreamed of.

“The version of life that I saw myself living isn’t what I’m living, which is this stable home that I grew up in,” he said in his confessional. “But I think if you find the right person and they happen to be a feisty Italian from New York, things aren’t always going to go how you have them planned.”

Meanwhile, Kroll said he wasn’t “entirely sold that Craig wants exactly what Paige wants.”

Unfortunately, the timing of this episode has Conover and DeSorbo stans feeling heartbroken all over again. DeSorbo shared on Monday’s (Dec. 30) episode of her Giggly Squad podcast that she and the Southern Charm star broke up after three years of dating.

“No one did anything. I don’t think it was a bad thing,” she said. “I think we both were being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want. I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”

It looks like Kroll might’ve been right.

Southern Charm airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
