The Green Bay Packers did all they could on Sunday as they faced a tough test against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card Round. The Packers put their season on the line in a road Wild Card game at Lincoln Financial Field, only to come home with nothing to show for but heartbreak.
In the end, the Eagles proved too much as the Packers suffered a season-ending 22-10 loss.
On Monday, Green Bay took to social media to share a two-word reaction to what turned out to be a highly disappointing defeat in Philadelphia.
"Tough day," the Packers wrote on Instagram.
After going down 16-3 late in the third quarter, the Packers tried to claw their way back in the final frame. They immediately scored to open the fourth quarter to cut down Philadlephia's lead to 16-10.
That was as close as Green Bay would get to a potential comeback, though, as the Eagles ended up scoring two more field goals in the fourth to shut the door.
In the above post, the team shared photos of their players after the game. There weren't too many happy faces inside the locker room, which speaks volumes of the general team vibe following that season-ending loss.
The Packers, the players and the fans will now need to let this loss sink in after what was an impressive 11-6 regular-season campaign. Changes are to be expected in the offseason as Green Bay looks to build on a stronger 2025 campaign.
