New York Rangers to target former defenseman as he becomes a highly sought after UFR in 2025

Former New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren has recently found himself knocked out of the postseason after facing the Dallas Stars. Making the warrior defenseman is sure to be one of the highly sought-after UFAs in 2025.Former Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren

Ryan Lindgren did his best to help keep his new team, the Colorado Avalanche, alive in Game 7 of the 1st-round matchup with the Dallas Stars.
But Mikko Rantanen would find a way to vivisect the Avalanche defense, where Lindgren was a victim.
He'd find a way to score not only short-handed, while Lindgren was on the penalty kill, but would be victim to Rantanen's skillful skating, putting another goal in the net with a wraparound shot, bouncing off of Samuel Girard's skate.
It was a bittersweet end to Lindgren's season, which began in a precarious fashion with a jaw injury that kept him out of the lineup for several games.
After his return to the top pair in New York, he'd find himself a part of the Rangers' retool and would be shipped to Colorado.
An unrestricted free agent, Lindgren was not going to be re-signed by the Rangers, so they moved him and Jimmy Vesey to Colorado for defenseman Calvin de Haan and forward Juuso Parssinen.

Lindgren will join Aaron Ekblad, Vladislav Gavrikov, and Ivan Provorov as some of the best UFAs on the blue line in 2025.
The "warrior" found a way to score a career-high 22 points this year, with a +5 and 12 blocked shots in the playoffs.
