New York Rangers star forward disrespected by the NHL following recent announcement

As the dust continues to settle around the New York Rangers season after being eliminated from the NHL playoffs, Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck did not receive any respect from his fellow NHL players as he was stubbed from a poll.

The annual NHLPA players pull was released and one question in particular omitted Trocheck's name in which the question asked if you need to win a faceoff, who would you choose?

Trocheck's numbers deserved to have his name on poll

like many of his 663 brethren polled here obviously did, Trocheck leads all NHL players with at least 1,000 face-offs taken this season with a 59.4 percent winning percentage.

Remarkably consistent, Trocheck's won 62.7 percent of his power-play draws, 59.2 percent at even strength and 57.3 percent on the penalty kill. Jim Cerny
The Rangers clearly feel that he is the most important faceoff taker in the team as he has been with the Rangers for the past three seasons. His prior two seasons had a 56.1% and a 58.7% efficiency which put him second in the league behind John Tavares of the Maple Leafs.
The Rangers organization will be doing serious evaluations on all of their players as their exit meetings will be slated in the coming weeks.
There's a strong possibility that the Rangers will undergo a remodel over the next few months especially when it comes to their head coach as the team continues to search for answers to what went wrong this year.

Rangers hold value for Trocheck as team closes out season

General manager Chris Drury will likely keep Trocheck on his lineup as the Rangers have valued his work and his contract.
He is currently in year three of his seven-year deal that has a value with $39.38 million and a cap hit of 5.63 million per season. Through 82 games, he has scored 26 goals with 33 assists for 59 points and is a plus/minus of 0 which is far below what he did last year with 82 games played and 77 points with a + 16.
Players like Trocheck need to remain on the Rangers especially what he brings when it comes to veteran leadership and good talent for the money they're paying.
