It was just confirmed and announced by several sources that Rangers starting goaltender Igor Shesterkin has been placed on Injured Reserved due to an upper-body injury.
It still remains unclear how Igor Shesterkin sustained this injury, but it likely from when the Rangers faced off against the Florida Panthers on Monday night, as there was several cases of players crashing into the net and taking him out.

However, it was confirmed by the Hartford Wolf Pack that goaltender Louis Domingue was recalled from the American Hockey League to the New York Rangers roster.
This season Louis Domingue has appeared in 14 games in the American Hockey League and has a record of 4-9-1 with a GAA of 3.64 and a save percentage of .888.
The Rangers will need to step defensively as the they will need to rely on Jonathan Quick as their starter and now Domingue as their backup.
