New York Rangers forward is trending on social media for the wrong reasons after facing the San Jose Sharks at Madison Square Garden.
The New York Rangers bounced back tonight against the San Jose Sharks as they managed to pull off to pull off a 3-2 victory after an embarrassing 6-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.
However, New York Rangers veteran forward, Vincent Trocheck is trending on social media after throwing up an inappropriate gesture to the San Jose Sharks bench after scoring a goal in the second period.
Here's the gesture that Trochech threw up to the Sharks bench after he scored the goal and got back on Rangers bench:
After a closer look at the situation it appears that Trocheck was just engaging in some friendly banter with his former teammates, Barclay Goodrow and Alex Wennberg.
From the video it looks like Trocheck is yelling «Bar, Bar» to get the attention of Barclay Goodrow as it was his first time returning to Madison Square Garden since the New York Rangers waived him during the offseason of 2024.
So far the 31-year old forward, Barclay Goodrow has managed to create a name for himself in San Jose as he was just recently promoted to the first line, along with tallying 2 goals in 17 games, with a +/- rating of -5 while averaging 14:52 mins of ice time.
The New York Rangers will prepare to face off against the Seattle Kraken on Sunday at Climate Pledge Arena for 9:00PM ET.
