New Mock Draft Has Raiders Land Historic Playmaker & Dynamic QB - suong

The Las Vegas Raiders have a need for playmakers this offseason. They had a bottom-five scoring offense last season and the worst rushing offense in the NFL.

The team has needs at quarterback, wide receiver and running back. New head coach Pete Carroll always had dynamic playmakers during his time with the Seattle Seahawks and could push for the Raiders to upgrade their roster in that regard.

While there are also needs on defense, The 33rd Team's Ian Valentino believes Las Vegas will be aggressive in going after playmakers in the first two rounds of the draft. His latest prediction has the Raiders using the No. 6 pick on Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.

"Similar to the Giants, the Las Vegas Raiders are likely to enter the race for Darnold," Valentino wrote. "Pete Carroll might also consider bringing Russell Wilson back to transform the Raiders into a competitive run-oriented team, reminiscent of his previous Seahawks squads.

"Selecting Ashton Jeanty at this point might be a tough sell for some, but he has the potential to be a franchise cornerstone throughout his rookie contract."

Jeanty rushed for 2,601 yards in 2024, which is the second-most in NFL history. He would certainly help solve the issues with the rushing offense. If that wasn't enough, Valentino also projected the Raiders to take Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe in the second round.

Though he has a lot of work to do as a passer, Milroe rushed for 1,257 yards combined in the last two seasons at Alabama. If the Raiders added those two, they could go from having the worst rushing offense in the NFL to being one of the best overnight.
