New England Patriots Reunite With Josh McDanielsThe New England Patriots have officially signed Josh McDaniels to be their new offensive coordinator. The Patriots have completely switched up their coaching staff since the end of the regular season in an attempt to become more competitive.

Josh McDaniels has spent majority of his NFL coaching career with New England, starting in 2001. Along with brief departures in between, McDaniels has been a Patriot from 2001-2008, 2010-2021, and now 2025.  He has 13 years of experience being the offensive coordinator in New England.

McDaniels has been a member of the Patriots coaching staff for all six of the franchise’s Super Bowl victories. He was also the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach during the Patriots’ undefeated regular season back in 2007.

With so much experience already under his belt, McDaniels has had the chance to work alongside and coach some of the most iconic figures in NFL History. He spent many years working with Tom Brady, who is widely considered to be the greatest NFL player of all time. He’s also had the chance to coach alongside Bill Belichick, who is considered by most to be the best coach in NFL history.

As if his accolades and experience weren’t enough to give hope to Patriots fans, Josh McDaniels also has worked alongside new head coach Mike Vrabel as well so the two have already built chemistry with one another.

This signing seems to be a huge step in the right direction for New England.
