There have been several reports related to The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 17 and the former stars who could be returning. Now, Nene Leakes has taken to social media to confirm that no one from Bravo or the production company reached out to her.
Regarding RHOA season 17, it’s generally believed that the main cast members from the previous installment are coming back. This is especially the case as filming is rumored to have already begun.
Nene took to the comments on the official Reality Blurb Instagram account in response to a report we shared about her not returning to the show.
“They have NEVER offered me to return! Good luck to season 17 cast. We will be watching,” Nene said. She also used the clapping hands emoji in her response.
This statement from Nene comes after rumors that Bravo offered her a friend-of-the-show contract, which she turned down, as she wants to work full-time if she were to return to the show she helped start. Regarding the report Nene replied to, it stated that Kim Zolciak and Sheree Whitfield would be returning to the show, but Nene wouldn’t be.
Regarding Kim, many fans found it interesting that when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Katie Ginella as the other guest, they gave her the first chair despite The Real Housewives of Orange County currently airing. Kim also recently hinted on social media that she would be open to returning.
Sheree recently posted about bringing back “She News,” a stunt fans will remember from the RHOA season 15 reunion. Of course, Bravo hasn’t made any casting announcements, but Phaedra Parks, 51, previously confirmed that she would be returning for season 17.
The cast likely includes Porsha Williams, 44, Drew Sidora, 40, Angela Oakley, 44, Shamea Morton, 43, Kelli Ferrell, 40, and Phaedra as full-time housewives. Cynthia Bailey, 58, was a friend of the show for season 16, but it’s unclear if she will return.
