Ten Pound Poms star Michelle Keegan has given fans a glimpse into her new life as a mum after welcoming her baby daughter Palma just two weeks ago. The actress and her husband Mark Wright announced the arrival of their newborn with a sweet photo last week, which was met with an outpouring of love from celebrity friends and family.
The 37 year old actress has now shared another update on her Instagram Story, showing baby Palma lying on a mat with one of her tiny feet in focus. Michelle captioned the black-and-white snap "simply magic" followed by a star emoji.
Michelle and Mark, 38, first announced they were expecting back in December. They revealed the name of their little girl in a joint post last week, writing: "Together we have a new love to share... Our little girl. Palma Elizabeth Wright. 06.03.25."
This week, Michelle's mum Carol opened up about meeting her granddaughter for the first time on social media. She posted a touching message which read: "Happiness is when your granddaughter comes up to you and gives you a big hug 'just because'."
She then added: "Can't wait," followed by a pink love heart.
During a heart-warming chat about becoming a father on Heart's Saturday Breakfast show, which he co-presents with Olly Murs, Mark Wright paid an emotional tribute to his wife Michelle. He hailed her as a "superhero" for giving birth to their daughter.
He opened up about his feelings, expressing that his daughter Palma was already the "biggest achievement" of his life. In an intimate moment with his friend and co-host, he said: "It's actually hard to put it into words. I'll start by saying it's the biggest achievement of my life. It's all I think about."
Mark gushed over his wife's strength during childbirth by adding: "But obviously, hats goes off to my wife. She's an absolute superhuman superhero for bringing this baby into the world.
"And it makes you realise, like what our mums did for us, and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women have to go through."
Then Mark shared with listeners: "But other than that, it's the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face. Every time I wake up, I'm like 'oh, she's there.' And that moment when I held her in my arms, I mean, it gets me emotional now thinking about it."
Wrapping up his sentiments on last weekend's episode, he emotionally stated: "It's just, I suppose, everything else goes out the window. And it's made me realise what life is all about.
"And my little baby, Palma, I love you so much. I can't wait to spend my life with you."
