Michelle Collins Throws Shade at Meghan Markle's Netflix Cooking Show, Expressing Disappointment and Mockery - lulu

Comedian Michelle Collins joked about 'loving' Meghan Markle's new show - even though she admitted on live television that she hadn't watched it yet.

During a Monday night appearance on Andy Cohen's late night show, Watch What Happens Live, the former co-host of The View was asked by a viewer what she thought of Markle's Netflix show.

The first season, titled With Love, Meghan, premiered last Tuesday on the streaming platform, and showed The Duchess welcoming a number of her famous friends into her home as they prepared fun recipes and made other home crafts, like bath salts.

So far, the series has largely been slammed by critics, like when Markle served up some peanut butter-filled pretzels from Trader Joe's and put them in a plastic bag on a welcome plate for her guest.

However, it looks like Collins also had some thoughts to share on the program, despite only seeing a snippet of it online.

'As someone who likes to work, I love it,' Collins said in response to Cohen.

'Here's the problem, I just feel like you can't have it all, and some people just want it all, and re-bagging the pretzels, Andy? I don't cook, that's something I could do,' the comedian continued.

'I wanted a little bit more, I think, from Meghan Sussex,' she admitted, as she made a nod to the moment where Markle corrected Mindy Kaling on her last name now being 'Sussex' during her appearance on the second episode.

The Watch What Happens Live host then asked Collins if she had even watched he show.

'Of course not, no, no,' the former SiriusXM radio show host said, as she was met with laughter from the audience.

'I saw a viral - oh, watch it? Oh God, no,' she continued.

Cohen commented that she must have seen a clip on TikTok of the show.

'I saw 90 seconds of it, and I was like, I love it,' Collins said.

Of course, Collins wasn't the only celebrity who had some thoughts to share about the new show.

Christina Pazsitzky, a successful stand-up best known as Christina P, said recently that the Duchess of Sussex is no 'Martha f***ing Stewart.'

She filmed herself on TikTok reacting to watching the show and declared to her one million followers: 'I don't know what the f*** this show is.'

'She's an actress playing the part of a human being right now, and it's not working,' she said.

'The problem from minute one is that she's trying to be perfect all the time, and it reads as phony, as inauthentic and not fun.'

However, even though With Love, Meghan, may not have been everyone's cup of tea, it has already been renewed for a second season at Netflix.

Markle made the announcement via Instagram just a few days after the show premiered, as she shared a video of some different snippets from various episodes.

'If you're loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2!' the mom-of-two wrote in the caption.

'Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life!' her message continued, as she tagged the Netflix Instagram account.

At the same time as her Netflix premiere, Markle also revealed some of the products that she will be selling in conjunction wit her new lifestyle brand, As Ever.

Not only does it include pancake mix, but also raspberry spread in 'keepsake packaging' and a limited-edition wildflower honey. The items are not yet for sale.
