MICHAEL STRAHAN has offered some words of advice to Tom Brady after the legendary quarterback learned he would still be working on Thanksgiving.
Brady, 47, spent his playing career working on Thanksgiving and he won't be getting a break now he's a broadcaster either.
The seven-time Super Bowl champ will be earning his $375million paycheck when he skips Thanksgiving dinner in favour of joining Fox's coverage of the New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys.
And Brady joked that he had no idea he would be needed as he was informed of his role while live on air for Fox's NFL Sunday coverage.
Host of 'The OT', Curt Menefee, broke the news to him while discussing the Green Bay Packers' win over the San Fran 49ers on Sunday.
He said: "Hey Tom, [Michael] Strahan's first year, he learned that he actually had to work on Thanksgiving Day."
"He thought he had it off. Did they tell you that before you came? You have to work on Thanksgiving Day this year!"
The retired Patriots icon jokingly reacted with a shocked face before saying: "What?!"
Brady was offered some friendly advice from Strahan who has been working Thanksgivings since he turned to a broadcast career, and the former defensive end even offered Brady an invite to a Thanksgiving in the future.
He said: "Don't feel bad about it! When we don't show up one Thanksgiving, we'll be having Thanksgiving together".
Brady will be calling the Cowboys vs Giants game alongside Kevin Burkhardt with the clash set to kick off at 4:30pm ET.
Brady isn't the only one with a hectic Thanksgiving schedule though.
His Fox NFL Sunday costars are also in line for a busy day on Thursday.
Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan will feature on the Cowboys-Giants pregame show scheduled for 4 pm ET.
And they are also scheduled to do a postgame show for the game.
The other Fox NFL Sunday regulars are also expected to make appearances on the special showing.
Rob Gronkowski, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, and Curt Menefee should be present.
Last time the Giants and Cowboys met on Thanksgiving in 2022, Fox drew in over 40 million viewers.
The other two Thanksgiving games are being handled by separate networks.
CBS has the broadcast of the Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears game at 12:30 pm ET.
While NBC has the night game between the Packers and the Miami Dolphins.
