Meredith Marks reveals marriage crisis with Seth: 'It’s like a snowball rolling into this monster.' - suong

Since meeting Meredith Marks and Seth Marks on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, fans have known the couple to be open about their challenges. Most recently, on the Nov. 6 episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City After Show, Meredith dug even deeper into her and her husband's past relationship issues.

In the above clip, which dropped after Season 5, Episode 7 of RHOSLC, Meredith speaks to Heather Gay about her argument with Seth following his admission that he needed to leave their Palm Springs trip early to head to Ohio for work. Although they both travel a lot, she said they were "pretty much inseparable" at that point in their lives — which made the news especially hard to hear.

"Now, suddenly, he needs to be in Columbus," Meredith began. "I thought it was just going to be, like, every other week, and it's slowly turning into every week, Monday through Friday, again."

This, she noted, has been an issue for them before.

"Seth and I have lived in a lot of different places, [which] probably has something to do with why I don't like to be anywhere for more than a couple weeks at a time. I don't know, probably 18 years ago, me and the kids were still in Chicago, and he was supposed to be commuting to Toronto Tuesday to Thursday, and then it slowly became Monday to Friday," Meredith continued. "And then it became, 'Well, we should probably relocate the family there,' because it was just too hard on him going back and forth. And we did. And that's not the first time we've done that."

"It snowballs into this beast where it's like, hard for us to even connect," she added.

Where Meredith Marks and Seth Marks' relationship stands today

In the months since RHOSLC Season 5 was filmed, Meredith and Seth's marriage has improved.

"We've worked so hard to get to such a great place, and now I feel like kind of we've gotten things under control a bit more," Meredith said on the After Show. "You know, like, some weeks aren't so great because we're both totally over-scheduled in different places, but we're both making a really big effort to try to get to the other one."

All in all, "I feel good about it today, but at the time I was upset and scared," Meredith concluded.
