Sanders, 23, had been widely tipped to be one of the top picks at this year’s event after starring under dad Deion at Colorado.

But Sanders suffered an embarrassing time at the Draft.

The quarter-back was snubbed completely in the first round.

And he continued to be overlooked by teams during the second, third AND fourth rounds too.

Sanders ended up being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round as the 144th pick.

Analysts are now speculating as to why he was rejected multiple times over.

But one feels NFL legend Brady was adamant Sanders would not be playing for his club.

The iconic Super Bowl king is now a part-owner at the Las Vegas Raiders.

Brady had also previously mentored Sanders in 2020 and claimed he was set to become one of the best players around.

But the Raiders’ decision to not sign him must have stemmed from Brady himself, according to analyst Bayliss.

He said on X: “It is now pretty clear Tom Brady - who mentored Shedeur - told the Raiders NOT to take him. Duly noted.”

The Raiders’ first pick instead went to running back Ashton Jeanty.

They had already strengthened their quarter-back position by trading with the Seattle Seahawks for Geno Smith.

But Brady’s previous comments on Sanders have now come to the fore.

He said in 2023: “I see someone who has a great work ethic but wants the knowledge too.

“People always ask me, 'How good do you think this guy is going to be?’ And I always say, it depends on who he surrounds himself with.

“It depends who mentors him. Because even you, [Deion Sanders], weren't a finished product at 21 or 22. I certainly wasn't. I had the right people come into my life and I was open to learning from them.

“Naturally, he's very proactive. We had a conversation, then phone calls, then then text messages, and then him making the commitment to say ‘all right, this is what I want to do, I'm very serious about it.’

“A lot of it is you want to see what their intention is too because when you see someone that's really open to learning and has a thirst for knowledge, you want to be able to support that.”
