MCFLY star Tom Fletcher has been left feeling 'uncomfortable' after Danny Jones’ drunken escapades with Maura Higgins.
Over the weekend married Danny, 38, was seen having a brief boozy kiss with single Love Island star Maura, 34, as they partied into the early hours of the morning after the Brit Awards.
Lead singer Tom, who accompanied Danny to the bash over the weekend, is said to be ‘humiliated' after being unnecessarily caught up in the drama.
A source said: “Tom is by no means a party animal – in fact he made it quite clear the afterparty was not on his mind, but Danny had other ideas.
“Tom wasn't there when the pair were seen getting close, but feels he is still associated with what went on.
“He doesn’t even know Maura, he doesn’t follow her or any other Love Island stars – he just doesn’t really mix in those circles."
Their other bandmates – Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter – didn’t attend the bash and none of them follow Maura online.
McFly have made no secret in the past about their difficulties with each other in the past.
In 2016 – when they took a hiatus – they ended up having therapy together and described their relationship as ‘complicated’.
Harry Judd told i newspaper at the time: “We all had different ways of communicating. Dougie and Danny hate confrontation. So it creates problems and resentment. And people can be too controlling.
“All these layers build up. It’s men not talking, really.”
He added to The Sun: "We'd seen each other broken, desperate and sorry enough to each other to be like, 'Right, OK, we can move on now.'
"It's not just like a married couple. There's four of us, so there's a relationship between each and every single person. It's a complicated thing."
The band managed to get past their issues and reunite – and have supported each other in solo projects since.
But the source added: “Danny won Masked Singer and then I’m A Celebrity and those close to the band are worried it’s changed the power dynamic a bit.
“The guys need to get together and hash it all out – and work out what their priorities are.”
The Sun has contacted Tom's rep for comment.
