MAURA Higgins has signed a huge new television deal, with her set to hit screens stateside very soon.
The 34-year-old TV star, who starred in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last year has landed a huge new US telly deal after winning the hearts of Americans last summer.
Maura's new reality TV stint comes after her drunken kiss with Danny Jones at a Brit Awards after party at the start of March.
Despite the controversy caused by Maura and Danny's kiss, the Irish beauty is thriving and will be flown out for the new show she is due to star on in just a few weeks time.
The Sun can exclusively reveal: "Maura’s signed on for a new series of Love Island USA - she was so popular after the last season it was clear bosses would sign her up."
Our source continued: "They don’t care about any personal life drama she has in the UK - she’s been a huge hit with US audiences."
Maura’s rep has been approached for comment.
Maura shot to fame as a contestant on the fifth series of Love Island in 2019.
She appeared on the same series as Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.
Maura ended up finishing fourth alongside Curtis Pritchard when the series ended.
AFTERSUN BEAUTY
Staying within the Love Island realm, Maura was the social media presenter for Love Island USA and Love Island Games in 2023.
She then went on to present Love Island USA: Aftersun in 2024, with her being a huge hit with audiences - hence her new contract.
After hosting the American version of Aftersun last summer, she headed to the Australian jungle to compete in I'm A Celeb.
While in the jungle, Maura met Danny Jones, who she would share a drunken kiss with months later.
Maura opened up about her relationship with Pete Wicks while in the jungle.
After a short romance, Maura and Pete ended their relationship after a series of fiery rows earlier this year.
DRUNKEN KISS DRAMA
Then, weeks after Maura and Pete split, the Irish star was caught kissing Danny at a Brit Awards after party.
Last month, we revealed that Maura and Danny could be set to face an awkward reunion as the I'm A Celebrity 2024 cast plan a lavish holiday.
Dean McCullough, who appeared in last year's series of I'm A Celeb spoke exclusively to The Sun about the pending reunion between his cast mates.
The Sun exclusively revealed that nobody has left the WhatsApp group, and a reunion is definitely in the works - despite Maura and Danny's drunken kiss.
"No, no one's left. Everyone's in it. Everyone's chatting away," Dean said of the group chat.
He added: "Everyone's in it, of course, and excited to meet up again."
Then, lifting the lid on their reunion plans, he said they were definitely planning a reunion, though "not with all of us just yet".
